Eli5 why does your palms stain more than the rest of your skin?

Like its much easier to get stains off your face, abdomen etc then your hands. Ex. I was playing with fake blood and it stained my hands really bad where I cant get it off but i got it off my face and chest, where it was on longer.

The skin on most of your body is smooth and oily. The skin on your palms is very textured and relatively dry (because hand-washing removes a lot of oil). This means your palms have lots of crevices where it’s difficult to get pigments out, and it’s relatively easy for liquids to soak into your skin.
