eli5: Why exactly do pimples hurt so sharply and are extremely sensitive to touch??

Yeap I’ve got one weird one at the back of my neck and its actually hurts.

A ball of bacteria is growing under your skull. And in growing it’s putting pressure on nerves. It’s slow enout that your nerves move out of the way but are still impacted. So touching it going to fire all those signals at once.
