I believe it is because the theory is it isn’t solely due to genetics, which something like true dwarfism would be.
Instead it seems that if you were to move to one of these zones you would also be likely to live longer.
The idea with blue zones I think tends to have less to do with isolated genetics, and more to do with outside factors such as regional diets, general activity (walking more instead of driving). And access to health care that all collectively together help improve life expectancy.
