It’s extremely difficult to amend. Too difficult according to this Supreme Court Justice:

ammending the constituition is intentionally made difficult in order to discourage adding too much into it the would make laws based on it hard ot follow. By keeping it simple and clear it makes the work of integrating other legislation based on it more seamless.
