Because humidity adds drag to the arrow, imagine putting a steel ball in a fish tank full of water and then without water, obviously the water one will take longer to sink since it has to “cut” through water while the air one only has to “cut” through air.

With higher humidity, the air would have a higher amount of water in it, which means it would be ~~denser~~ less dense and provide ~~more~~ less resistance. It also means that it uses less energy to travel, and because it would run out of energy slower, it also drops differently compared to a much lower or much higher humidity
