Eli5: Why is it almost impossible to use scissors with your less dexterous hand, especially for cutting items such as plastics and rubber?

As a left handed person it’s not only plastic or rubber it’s WVERYTHING even if I use my right hand with the right handed scissors IT DOESENT CUT. So I decided some years ago only using knives
