As in the title, i know it has something to do with serotonin levels. What is the issue exactly?

I think it has to do with less dopamine due to high serotonin. By the way, you can ask your doc to prescribe Wellbutrin on top of your ssri and it fixes the sexual side effects, as well as removing some of the drowsiness

There’s not a 100% definitely know cause, but the leading theory is that screwing around with the serotonin levels in the brain affects the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is kind of the control center for other hormones. Mess with that and the other hormones necessary for arousal and orgasm are impaired.

You also need to worry about EVERY other sensation. Joy, heartburn, hunger, thirst, abuse, entertainment and arrousal ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL will be removed by an SSRI.

For a lot of women (and for a lot of different reasons) an orgasm has more to do with what’s going on between her ears than between her legs. If there’s struggles enough to warrant SSRI’s, you gotta figure those are going to change a few other things too. I’m a dude but that’s been my experience, YMMV.
