Eli5 Why is it that when I’m slightly dehydrated one of my eyelids twitch?

It’s usually one of the lower lids, too. Most often my right.

Eye muscles are very small and sensitive to electrolyte changes. Rehydrate and it should
go away

That’s weird, it’s been happening to me lately to my left eyelid, but I didn’t know it was because of dehydration

Pretty sure this doesn’t happen to a lot of people. So, you may have a specific reason for this effect, but it would be very hard for anyone to give a good guess.
