So people claim that saline water helps with allergy, although when pollen enter the nose, sneezing and blowing the nose is expected anyways, however they still claim that saline water is what would work! Why cleaning the nose is different than blowing it?

Something about the saline water breaks up the mucus and helps it so that when you blow your nose after you get more, especially if your nose is dry like from after sleeping.

The salt is more to keep the water clean and similar to body salinity, its about the water.

Think about it as a series of pipes – blowing down it with a leaf blower may clear some dirt, but you’ll do a lot better flushing it out with a hose.
