Eli5: Why when drops of rain drop on a phone, they appear as blue, red and green dots ?

The screen is made out of red green and blue lights. The drop acts as an magnifying glass so that the lights get mor visible
Your phone makes all the colours it needs to be combining red, green and blue in different proportions.
It does so as follows: the screen is literally a panel of red, green and blue lights. These are so tiny and close together that the colours all run together and mix into the greys, yellows, purples, mauves, etc that you see.
The droplet of water acts like a tiny magnifying glass, letting you see the dots that are normally too small.
Your phone screen is made of very little LED lights (red blue and green). Rain drop causes the light to refract. These 3 colours has different wave length and their refraction angle is different, so you stop to see them as one mixed colour
They act as magniflying lens that magnify the pixels on your phone. Your phone screen is just ALOT of little dots of color to make up the image.
