That’s the rate that heat has been entering all along. The AC has just been countering it by removing heat at the same rate. As soon as you turn off the AC and stop that heat removal, the heat keeps streaming in at the same rate it had been all along. Except now none is being removed so the temperature goes up. If it seems to be warming up quickly, that just goes to show how much work the AC had been doing for you all along!
