ELI5, You know the shimmer that can happen to some displays, while looking at the sky etc? What’s that called? They say its because some pixels can’t catch up to the dark. But why does it also happen in real life while looking at a light or the sky and is it called the same?

Here’s a video of what I mean. I’ve seen this on every type of screen and in real life.

Look at the big monkeys cheeks or the hairs. They flicker or do something weird no?
