Eli5:Can frequencies interfere with technology, phones, computers, etc, if so what happens?

All frequencies, low or high, of electromagnetic radiation can interfere with technology/electronics.
Low power will cause noise in electronics, generating false signals. Kind of like the static sound you would hear on an old TV.
Medium power can destroy transistors and other sensitive components.
High power might cause some arcing of electricity between wires.
