It depends on the service but its likely they are taking revenue from companies simply to be listed. With Honey, for example, while they claim to find you the “best deals” it is generally the best from sites who paid to be listed on Honey, or agreed to be listed with other paying sites to bulk up the list.
Aside from what others already stated (data collection, exclusive deals), there are also projects that are funded by donations. This is especially true for small indie games and open source projects.
If you’re getting a service for free, you are the product. They’re tracking what you do, where you go, for how long, what you buy, etc etc. They sell that information
