Eli5:how do blimps adjust their heights in the air?

They essentially have a balloon inside a balloon, called a ballonette. The outer balloon is filled with helium and the inner balloon is filled with air. By adding or removing air from the inner balloon the overall density can be increased or decreased. This works because the the outer envelope is built to not stretch much so inflating the inner balloon compresses the helium increasing its density and vice versa, leading to the whole thing rising or falling.

So would a blimp have a way to control pitch. Or is that a not really needed feature?
