Hi! I’m not sure if the topic is correct, but I have a question about meaning of “coffin run” phrase. What does it actually mean?

If it’s not ‘coffee run’ but in fact ‘coffin run’ it might mean going on a suicide mission; you come back in a coffin. Of course, this is meant figuratively not (one hopes) literally.
Are you sure you don’t mean ”coffee run”? Going on a coffee run means going to get coffee for the whole group

it would be a trip where most of the passengers are in coffin shaped suspended animation chambers.
People being transported as cargo while in frozen / sleeping condition.
