How are playing cards sanitized at a Casino, if they are ever done?

Given that the cards change hands and could contain millions of germs – do not want to mention all the sources.

I would guess that they’re not sanitized. A single deck of cards in a casino are only in use for a few hours. After that they’re retired and the dealer gets a new deck. This is more to deal with wear than it is for sanitation, but the point is, they get replaced fairly often.

Short answer is: they don’t.

Casinos only use decks of cards for a few hours, then they send them to the back, and literally shoot a hole in the middle of the deck. They then give the decks away to employees or friends.
