Suppressed immune system pretty much….stress suppresses the immune system and allows the normal biota of the stomach and skin to go out of whack because you yourself are immunocompromised
When you are stressed your body produces hormones from your adrenal glands that, among other things, suppress your immune response. They are corticosteroids, and synthetic versions of these hormones are used to suppress immune responses for medical reasons (like to stop itching or reduce swelling).
Stress, endogenous steroid release, immunosuppression.
The steroids do other things like fuck with your blood pressure, stomach lining, skin, bones, it goes on.
