How come ducks don’t sink?

Like all birds, they have hollow bones and very light feathers. Also, most of them have a substance that covers the feathers so they don’t soak up water and get heavy.
Basically, so many parts of their body are lightweight that they float on top of the water with just a part of them being below the surface.
