I understand how they filmed it I do video editing and what not so I understand the basics right
IT JUST LOOKS SO GOOD! There’s never a moment where it’s not believable that there are 2 people in some shots. Some shots are so shocking if you think about how tf did they film this! Maybe I’m understanding the power of editing in the 90’s but sometime I sit and watch it with my jaw open.
It’s so impressive! I don’t FULLY understand how they made it so mf good!

Even more impressive is they did it with Haley Mills in 1961. There was a making of feature for Parent Trap 2 (1986) where the showed how it was done – filming the same shot with a stand-in for one of the twins and editing with the right/left side from each shot.
Technology got even better as they re-did the movie later.
