How do ballet dancers and ice skaters not feel nauseous or lose balance when they spin that fast while dancing or skating on ice?

They fix their eyes on a particular point and then rapidly rotate their heads round till they can pick that point out again. Basically the head moves differently to the body and remains still for a lot of the spin.

They use their heads to stabilise themselves, which is where your ears are and your ears will help you considerably when it comes to balance.

They will keep their head in the same position for as long as possible and then snap it round to the same position to catch up with their body.

Also, they get used to it 😁
