I get that some insects or “bugs” will go underground like cicadas but where tf are the mosquitoes,spiders, earwigs, and house centipedes coming from. I swear tg one day they all just spawn back into the server and they’re fucking everywhere. There’s no way they migrate. I don’t understand how any of them could survive a winter outside especially in the Midwest, and it’s hard to believe that the few that do survive in ur house are enough to make them appear everywhere.

Bugs are cold blooded, most cannot function under a certain temp. Some bugs avoid cold by migration, some enter Diapause or a kind of suspended animation, some bugs hibernate, some can replace their body water with a glycol that works as an antifreeze and can still be somewhat active….and lastly, many just die. When the temps rise again so do they or their eggs hatch that they laid before the cold and it starts all over.
