Food gets broken down in your stomach. Food then enters your intestines. Nutrients are absorbed into your blood stream. Your blood carries those nutrients to every cell in your body. Those cells create waste. The waste is carried by your blood to your kidneys. Your kidneys filter out the waste. The kidneys move the waste to your bladder. You pee the waste out.

Food gets broken down in your digestive system and absorbed by your body. The various components of food then are used by your cells. But some components are useless to the body and they are removed by kidneys. Sometimes these useless components happen to also give color to your urine.
