Once enamel is gone, it’s gone forever.

What most of these toothpastes do is leave a coating/film/layer on your teeth. How long it lasts is really up for debate, most say the coating lasts 8 hours. You need to follow the instructions so brushing for two minutes and giving each tooth attention and eat nothing for 30mins. Avoid acidic foods, drink with a straw, brush after every meal, floss, etc.

These toothpastes remineralize your existing enamel to make it more resilient against acids, sugars, and bacteria.
