It is much easier at a live game, if you have a chance to go watch. Seeing the full rink really helps because you can see all the line changes, and importantly, what everyone is doing all the time. One or two games, even at a Junior A or AHL type level and it will make a huge difference.

Also, as a Canadian, I feel I must point out, it’s just “hockey“. The ice is implied. 🙂
