Example: Doctors are able to surgically remove old objects from people’s stomachs. Why didn’t they just painfully go through your body like everything else you eat?

The contents in the stomach become liquefied via hydrochloric acid & pass through a small opening near the base of the stomach into the small intestine. Some objects are unable to be dissolved via this stomach acid. Likewise, some objects are too large to pass through this opening. These objects, if undigested & remaining in the stomach, can cause blockages & bezoars that can end up being life threatening if not removed.
