Recruiters search online for people, like they’re on linkedin quite a lot, and all the other job sites where people post their resumes or just job titles and whatnot. Then they basically interview you to see if you’re a potential fit.
I’ve had recruiters cold call me. They clearly found me on linkedin because my profile hadn’t been updated and they asked me about whatever I had on there. They were always somewhat pushy and really worked to get me on the phone with the company who hired them.
