How do nausea medications like Ondansetron work?

I take it for some medical issues and was just curious as to how it prevents nausea and vomiting.

I mean in a nutshell your intestines release serotonin to induce the vomiting reflex and zofran blocks those receptors. There is a more complex mechanism with vagal afferents but it’s not eli5 material haha.
