Can someone please explain how note smartphones generally differ to standard smartphones?

In what fundamental ways are notes different, what’s their value proposition, whats the primary function etc

They come with a fancy multifunction stylus that is stored within the phone itself. Aside from that, I find they are generally the same as the current Galaxy generation. Maybe a larger screen or whatnot.

The stylus is *awesome*. I had a note II years ago and still miss it to this day, I still use a galaxy tablet for the stylus. If you do any hand draw design, or art, it is a valuable tool that makes your job a lot easier.

It’s basically the same as the current Galaxy S phone, with a (usually) slightly larger screen and has a stylus that is stored inside the phone.

The stylus can be used to take written notes, write on the screen, write or draw on photos, used as a remote to take pictures, and so on.

I have one and find it really useful, but that’s an individual thing.

For instance, if I’m working on a project I can take a picture of the space and then write in all the dimensions on the pic before I go to the store. If I think of something I can take a quick note more easily than if I had to open an app and type it, and so on.

For people who mainly use their phone casually for texting and social media or web surfing, it’s probably not worth the money. It’s more suited to productivity-oriented use.
