How do our eyes see?

For clarification: I believe I understand the basics of visual processing. My question is, once all the processing is done in the brain, how is the data seemingly “projected” back to our eyes? Does the brain house some kind of virtualized map of the eyes to which it displays processed visual data?

Once your brain processes the data its done, you percieve the image as it is.
The eyes are like cameras , only capturing the light and sending the signal , thats it.
You said you understand basic processing but all processing is, is turning the signal into a mental image you can see
