The same as all viruses. Viruses are not living things, they are bundles of instructions on how to make copies of themselves.

Our cells are guarded by proteins that are like keyholes, unless the right key is inserted they stay locked. Viruses are coated in protein keys if they can match a key to a cells keyhole they can come in. Once in the cell the virus sheds it’s protein skin and releases instructions on how to make more protein skins and how to make copies of the instructions themselves. These instructions turn the cell into a virus photocopy machine and it starts to fill with viruses particals. Eventually gets so full it bursts releasing the new viruses into the body where they unlock more cells and the process repeats.

Note the virus – A. does not have a metabolism, it requires no energy to do this. B. does not have any ability to sense or respond to external conditions. C. once made does not grow.
