My question is aimed at oral probiotics (hence the mouthwash), but this could also apply to intestinal for the tablets.

Most dont, even just regularly swallowing. The stomach is a very harsh environment. that is why there are millions in a tablet in hopes that a few thousand survive to repopulate the gut.
