How do some nasal sprays clear a blocked nose?

A blocked or stuffy nose can be annoying, especially at night. I don’t like to wake up with my throat all dried out because I couldn’t breathe through my nose. Some nasal sprays clear the nose within a minute or two, but how does this work?

Because your nose is not just blocked by snot also the airway in the back is swollen. All that nasal Sprays do is to unswell your airways making more room for snot to come out and making it easier to breathe. If you use these sprays to much tho your nose will get used to the spray and swell when you dont use it.
