I just drove through an area in Illinois with a lot of wind turbines. They’re not all oriented in the same direction. It looked like there was at least a 30 degree difference in the direction they were facing. How do they determine the orientation of each of them?
I had a friend that was part of a team that traveled around and put up “miniature” ones so they could monitor the winds for a period of time to determine if it was a viable spot to install a fully functioning turbine.
