how do they get water and sewer up to remote homes that are high in the mountains?

Remote homes away from neighbors probably have a septic tank. Fresh water Could possibly be more tricky depending on if there is a well you could dig or a spring to find. Otherwise you might have to hire someone to run pipe to your place if you want it bad enough.
