They are not random they are repeating pattern that is printed on fabric. The process is not that different from how you printed books or new paper, So the pattern will repeat in one direction after the circumference of the rollers you use but can be unique for the width of the pattern.

A lot of patterns like camouflage actually aren’t random- the pattern image itself is just large enough that no repeating sequence emerges in the comparably small amount of cloth required to make a garment.

Truly random pattern printing is very rare. It’s easier to just make a large pattern that *looks* random when viewed on a garment.
