If you mean the containers, they are designed to be stacked when on a ship or train. When it’s time to transfer to a semi, the container is loaded onto a flatbed with a typical hookup for the semi.

Remove the towed truck’s driveshaft, install air brake “cages” and special tow cradle on the 5th wheel, use a crane (or rotator tow truck) to lift front end of semi into tow cradle. Hook up tail lights on last truck and proceed safely down the road. Reverse procedure at the destination.

You can also tow a chain of trucks similarly on a low boy trailer.
