Don’t take it personally. Nothing. Whatever people throw at you, it’s rarely actually about you. When you can see the world as random and impersonal, it’s easier to take it all as it comes, and not as a directed attack at you, just you, only you, and how unfair it all is. A shrug, a smile, and get on with life. Same as when you have an awful job to do, the more you worry about it and dread it, the worse it becomes. Just do the job in front of you, take what satisfaction you can from doing it properly, and it’s never as bad as it looked going in.
