How do you still hear the melody in Rush E despite so many notes being played at the same time, even at the end?

The notes are played at different volumes, so even if every key is being pressed at the same time, some may barely be heard while the melody is still clear.

The same reason you can hear one person screaming in a crowd full of people talking like in a cafeteria setting. The volume is greater for the melody relative to the background notes.
