I’m assuming you’re talking about a Uninterrupted Power Supply?
They’re really not complicated, but there’s a few different designs.
A standby system, monitors the electricity coming through, checking it’s voltage 100s of times a second, and if the voltage dips, it starts supplying electricity through it’s battery. Remember, electricity is really fast, enough so that whatever device can handle not receiving power for thar 1/1000th of a second until thr battery backup kicks in.
