How does air move across a room?

2.91K views

I’m sitting in my house and just closed a window – 3 metres away on the other side of the room, the door rattled and then opened as a result of me closing the window. Can someone explain how shutting the window shook and opened the door on the other side?

Thanks

Air pressure. My house has really weird pressure. I can close a door on one end of the house, and if the garage door isn’t latched right, it’ll open and then SLAM shut.
