How does anything cross an event horizon if time slows infinitely as matter approaches it?

Title. Been wondering this since I saw Penrose diagrams on PBS Spacetime

Only time as perceived by outsiders far from the event horizon. When you are going in (ignoring the tidal shear) you don’t notice anything amiss. Outsiders see something different, but you can’t ever get out to tell them.
