how does fresh water ice forms out of sea water( salty), shouldn’t it make salty ice? Does water “purifys” itself during phase conversation or what?

As water molecules form ice crystals, they squeeze salt molecules out from between them. The salt diffuses into adjacent salt water leaving freshwater ice behind it.
