How does it work that some male actors take anabolic steroids / hormones and then the bone structure of their face shape changes after age 30?

I don’t think it has much to do with the steroids. Some body-builders take human growth hormone, or an animal growth hormone, and end up becoming weird-looking monsters. I think they look that way because bones don’t grow evenly once they are already set, it at all.
