I have recently been told that narcissism is something a person develops and isn’t genetic. My question; how does that work? And, can they also “grow out of it” again?
I know these are complex topics, so thank you in advance for helping me understand!

If you mean Narcissistic Personality Disorder, I think whoever told you that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. There’s as much evidence for genetic cause as environmental and both can be right.
