How does Smart Dns work and how does it unblock geolocked content?

AFAIK, Dns just redirects request to servers. How does it manage to unblock geolocked content? If a server blocks requests from country X, how does Smart Dns trick it into serving that content since the user’s IP is not going to be hidden?

Smart DNS gets around geoblocks by essentially redirecting your internet connection in a way that tricks websites and online services into thinking you’re in a different location.

When you access a website or streaming service, it checks your location based on your IP address. Geoblocks work by restricting access to content based on your location. Smart DNS works by intercepting these location checks and replacing them with a fake location. It does this by rerouting your DNS requests through special servers in different locations. So, to the websites and services, it looks like you’re in a different place, and you can access content that would otherwise be blocked in your actual location.
