The Dyson fan uses a specially designed fan blade. This blade is located in [the base of the fan](https://www.essentialhomeandgarden.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/how-a-bladeless-fan-works.jpg).

For the most part, it doesn’t. Dyson is mainly a scam artist with pretty design and good marketing in the same way Steve Jobs was. But more to the point there’s a normal fan in the base pushing air through a slit along the circumference of the weird looking circular bit. You’re going to get far better efficiency and more air moving with a regular fan.

Basically have special blades sucking air from the bottom, and pushing air out the top circle. The only good aspect who difference it from a normal fan is the air filter function.
