How does the munchies work when you smoke marijuana?

The THC in weed acts a stimulate in various parts of your body. When it hits the creative parts of your brain for example, it stimulates them and allows you to be more creative (half of the great music ever made owes its life to that).

Likewise when the THC hits the part of your brain that controls hunger, it “stimulates” that into doing it’s job as well, making you hungry.
