The other comment has covered this well, I’d just like to mention that the actual way in which TXA works is not necessarily by making the clots that form in a wound stronger by adding ‘glue’ to them itself, but by preventing the breakdown of the clot that would usually occur due to the action of a protein called plasmin. TXA prevents the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, which basically stops the clot from being broken down. TXA actually mimics a protein that does this in the body called lysine.
This may be a bit more detail than a five year old would like but I thought I’d mention it.
