The total amount of money in the vacation pay line of your pay stub represents how much vacation time you have available to you. If you have $2,000 worth of vacation pay available to you and you get paid $20/hour, that works out to 100 hours or 12.5 days.
Exactly how you much vacation pay you earn each time you get paid will depend on how much vacation time you agreed to when you accepted the job. If you get 2 weeks per year, the equivalent of two weeks worth of pay will be added to your vacation pay balance over the course of the year in equal instalments.
